First Buffs Working, Build Tomorrow
I was able to get the first four buffs in and working. There were quite a few bugs and I expect there are quite a few more that I haven't caught. It wasn't too hard to get things working though. Top Down Engine classes are easy to extend. For instance I can extend their health class and over ride their Damage() function. So I can intercept damage and modify before it is applied to the player/enemy. Makes it easy to do things like mitigate damage or apply a damage buff. Here are the first four perks:
- Battle Worn - Add a 10% bonus to all damage per rank. 5 total ranks.
- Thick Skin - Subtract 1 damage from incoming damage for each rank. 3 total ranks.
- Long Nights - Increase max hit points by 10 per rank. 3 total ranks.
- Pleasant Days - Recover 1 hit point every 10 seconds per rank. 5 total ranks.
I plan on posting a new build tomorrow evening that includes these buffs. I'm pausing work on the remaining buffs so I can get the menu slightly more cleaned up tomorrow. Assuming there aren't any crazy bugs I will post a build around 5pm PST.
